Software Engineer, Internal Identity
Stripe · United States (distributed team; small Seattle office)
About the role
A software engineer on Stripe's Internal Identity team, part of Security Infrastructure, which decides how every Stripe engineer, service and AI agent gets the access it needs and nothing beyond it. The team is building Stripe's next authorisation system, one that models relationships between people, services and resources, enforces policy consistently, treats agents as first-class identities and must run at better than five nines. The engineer builds authorisation libraries, frameworks and services, learns what product and infrastructure teams need, helps them adopt the tools, and adds access visibility and ongoing policy governance for resource owners and compliance.
Stripe wants two to five years of hands-on software development with some security experience; identity or authorisation work and Go, Java or Ruby are pluses.
