Security Software Engineer

Joins Tailscale's product security team as a software engineer specialising in security and privacy. The engineer finds and implements security and privacy improvements across the codebase, audits features for technical weaknesses and drives fixes, and supports engineering decisions with threat modelling. At least half the role is writing software.

The company wants proficiency in a programming language, ideally Go, development experience on a platform such as iOS, Android, web or Linux, and a background in application security, penetration testing, threat modelling or incident response. Deep knowledge of web and API vulnerabilities, cryptographic primitives and networking protocols is expected. Remote in the US.
