About the role
A senior engineer at Terran Orbital, under the Cloud Platform Engineering Manager, helping build an internal platform-as-a-service that combines DevOps, infrastructure, SRE and security for the ground, flight and test software teams. The engineer leads the handling of security incidents in the cloud, from detection through containment and remediation, along with runbooks and post-mortems, keeps infrastructure, pipelines and machine images compliant with NIST 800-53 and STIGs, provisions cloud resources through infrastructure as code, brings in Lockheed Martin blueprints and standards, and mentors engineers and interns.
The company wants five or more years in cloud engineering, DevOps or security, deep IaC, Kubernetes and CI/CD skills, and experience applying 800-53 and STIG controls. US citizenship and eligibility for a DoD clearance are required. Fully on-site in Irvine.
