Cybersecurity Engineer III

A senior cybersecurity engineer on Trace3's government team, placed on a six-month W2 contract with possible extension or conversion, working at customer sites around Baltimore and Annapolis Junction. The engineer designs and maintains enterprise security tooling including firewalls, IDS and IPS, endpoint protection and identity tools, sets security architecture standards across on-premises and cloud systems, plans the Authority to Operate for CI/CD pipelines, and handles SIEM monitoring, threat hunting, incident investigations, vulnerability scanning and remediation. Compliance with NIST CSF, 800-53, RMF and ISO 27001 and support for audits round out the work.

Trace3 prefers eight or more years in cybersecurity engineering, federal or regulated experience, AWS or Azure security, and scripting. Applicants must be able to obtain a security clearance; on-site expectations are still being finalised.
