VP, Security and CISO

Trace3  ·  United States

About the role

Combines two jobs at Trace3, the technology solutions provider: Chief Information Security Officer for the company itself, and vice president of the Security domain within its Solutions Group. As CISO, the role owns Trace3's security strategy, roadmap and budget, leads the Security Operations and Security Compliance teams, and is accountable for threat detection and response, vulnerability management, penetration testing, incident response, SOC 2 and other audits, and customer assurance through the Trust Center and security questionnaires. Current initiatives include a GRC platform, the Trust Center rollout and a transition to a new MDR provider, along with AI governance work with the VP of IT and Application Development.

On the commercial side, the role sets the Security domain's go-to-market strategy across regions, leads practice directors and domain architects, owns partner strategy, and is accountable for the domain's revenue, gross profit and growth, including new AI security offerings. Trace3 expects its CISO to adopt and validate the security offerings internally before they go to clients, and to advise the executive leadership team on security strategy and risk.

The posting asks for ten years of services-led IT and cybersecurity solution sales experience, a record of leading an enterprise security program as CISO, deputy CISO or similar, experience running security operations, GRC, incident response and SOC 2 audits, and strong financial acumen including forecasting. A bachelor's degree is required, and CISSP or CISM is preferred. Travel is required.
