Staff Security Engineer

Works in Veeam's VDC Security Engineering team, which builds and runs security for a multi-cloud SaaS on Azure and AWS used by regulated industries. The engineer designs detections and analytics in Microsoft Sentinel and cloud-native tooling, builds incident response runbooks and automation, leads investigations and threat hunts, and owns the vulnerability management program from scanner integration through to remediation tracking. The role also makes sure detection, response and vulnerability records hold up as audit evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP and HITRUST. Veeam wants eight or more years across security operations, detection, incident response or vulnerability management, strong Azure and AWS security knowledge, and a record of shipping automation in Python or PowerShell; this is a hands-on building job. Based in San Jose.
