Staff+ Security Engineer, Developer Tools

Acts as the embedded security engineer for Verkada's Developer Experience team, setting the security roadmap and requirements for the tools, AI agents and systems the company's software engineers rely on. The engineer runs threat models, architecture analysis and design reviews, sets up security tooling and secure defaults across the development lifecycle, trains engineers on secure practice, builds and runs a bug bounty program, and triages findings from tools, external assessments and researchers. Verkada wants seven or more years as a security, software or site reliability engineer or security consultant, cloud experience, knowledge of attacks and mitigations, Python or Go coding, and familiarity with secure development practice, Open Policy Agent and SIEM. Based in San Mateo.
