Staff+ Software Engineer, Agentic Software Security

Joins Verkada's Security Team, which works chiefly as a software engineering group, to scale security across the development lifecycle through automation, libraries, tools and frameworks used by engineers on the Command platform. The engineer leads efforts to wipe out whole classes of vulnerabilities, acting as their own product manager when needed: prototyping, getting tools adopted and showing the results. Using AI to automate security engineering practice is central, alongside setting security goals with other engineering leaders and helping the CISO expand the security and privacy programs. Verkada wants seven or more years as a software engineer working on security problems, daily coding, curiosity about attacks and defences, and experience building with AI. The role is on-site in San Mateo five days a week.
