Software Engineer - Infrastructure Security
WorkOS · United States & Canada
About the role
Joins WorkOS's Infrastructure Security team, a platform engineering group that gives engineers the building blocks to build securely and meet compliance needs, with a focus on workload identity and authorisation between internal services. The engineer makes short-lived identity credentials a standard part of every application runtime, brings certificate-based authentication to major internal dependencies and migrates existing services onto it, removes static passwords and tokens through identity-authenticated egress proxies and automatic secret rotation, and builds a single framework for managing authorisation policy. WorkOS wants five or more years of software engineering on security platforms, infrastructure or distributed systems, strong knowledge of secrets management and workload identity, familiarity with Kubernetes, JWTs, X.509, SPIFFE/SPIRE and OPA, and experience leading cross-team migrations. Remote in the US or Canada.
