Software Systems Engineer - Security

Joins Zoox's Product Security team, which analyses the security of the company's autonomous vehicle products throughout the development lifecycle. The engineer puts numbers on security risks that could affect safety, working closely with safety teams, tests those estimates by fuzzing realistic scenarios in simulation, writes design proposals and sees them through, feeds risk metrics into company-wide frameworks, and works with software and hardware engineers so recommendations reflect real constraints. Zoox wants a master's degree in computer science or a related engineering field plus three or more years of experience, a strong systems engineering background with real cybersecurity expertise, quantitative methods such as attack-tree quantification, Monte Carlo or Bayesian models, embedded systems risk analysis, and practical use of AI tools.
