About the role
Provides technical leadership for the ZIA proxy architecture in Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange department, reporting to the Director, Software Development Engineering. The architect supports QUIC/HTTP/3, HTTP/2 and TLS/SSL proxying, sets reference architectures and design patterns, modernises the code base by addressing technical debt, and mentors engineers across product teams.
The company wants 15 or more years of experience designing networking security software and public cloud infrastructure, deep knowledge of proxies, TCP/IP and TLS, proficiency in C, and a background in high-throughput, low-latency network security products. Hybrid, at least three days a week in Santa Clara.
