About the role
Provides senior technical leadership for the ZIA proxy in Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange department, reporting to the Director, Software Development Engineering, with a focus on Layer 7 protocols and SSL inspection. The engineer supports QUIC/HTTP/3, HTTP/2 and TLS/SSL architecture, improves code quality, rewrites components to reduce technical debt, and mentors engineers across teams.
The company wants 12 or more years designing networking security software and public cloud infrastructure, deep knowledge of proxies, TCP/IP and TLS, proficiency in C, and a record with high-throughput, low-latency network security products. DPDK and BSD or Linux knowledge helps. Hybrid, at least three days a week in Santa Clara.
