About the role
Contributes technical leadership to the ZIA proxy in Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange department, reporting to the Director, Software Development Engineering. The engineer works on Layer 7 protocols and SSL inspection, supporting QUIC/HTTP/3, HTTP/2 and TLS/SSL architecture, helps set design patterns, fixes and rewrites parts of the code base, and mentors colleagues.
The company wants eight or more years designing networking security software and public cloud infrastructure, deep knowledge of proxies, TCP/IP and TLS, proficiency in C, and experience with high-throughput, low-latency network security products. VPN, NAT and DPDK knowledge helps. Hybrid, at least three days a week in Santa Clara.
